Maria Rozas is a freelance and Fine Art photographer who was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala in 1991. She moved to the United States at a young age and eventually attended the Savannah College of Art and Design, where she graduated with a BFA in Photography, November 2013. She enjoys photography that focuses on details, such as abstract and miniatures. Maria is more comfortable with the digital side of photography, although she also enjoys printing using alternative processes. Her most recent body of work, titled "Escaping the Pages", focuses on storybook character illustrations coming out of their books of origin. Maria’s work has been shown in galleries in Savannah, Georgia as well as the National Museum of Modern Art in Guatemala City.
